This is a broad subject, so will first hit on the one subject that i think is most important and to the heart of the issue......as I see it. Men are supposed to be the "protector","provider","example"........first i will hit on protector as it is the most important. I think that it has simply to do with modern society's stance on violence. "Zero tolerance" when it comes to fighting in schools they say. i think it started sometime in the 80s but i might be wrong. In order for a male of our species to be a "man", amongst many other things they have to be able to commit violence. Understand that violence does not mean anything physical....but life conflict in general. Society has been tricked into thinking that what they are supposed to be is bad....this is true with men and women.....but for now, ill keep to the man. There is an old saying from someone somewhere: "all that is needed for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"......this is very true. having the choice to do violence is a requisite for "good" Not having the ability, whether metal or physical, gives the person a lack of options, and leads to a mode of compliance. Compliance is how the Holocaust happened. Men are supposed to be the protectors of the family or the tribe, or whatever you want to call it, and is you are unwilling to do violence, you cannot achieve the status of "protector" "Provider" is easy. Men are to provide stuff for the family....simple.......food, clothes, candy, video games etc. "Example" if you do both of the above, then you are the example.....it is cyclic either way. I am over simplifying this for means of expedience of the post, but i thin kyall get the picture. I wasn't addressing our values per se though admittedly you have a point. The issue that baffles young men (and generally isn't taught) is WHY the man should be the provider and protector. And, in a society where white males are locked out, what happens when it is impossible for the male to be the breadwinner? My wife thought she should be making all the decisions until I got a job making more money than her. Can you imagine the conversations afterward? In our society there is the legal perspective; there is the moral perspective; then there is reality. Many times societal norms, the law, and morality are a three way fight with each side having its own determinative factors as to what is right and what is wrong. The thing I am trying to accomplish is to teach the youth and men who weren't given this opportunity a way to rethink their values and how to best apply them. Modern society has got it all wrong.........people emulate ideas that at face value, seem good, but are damaging in the long run. About you wife: who cares if she makes more than you? Other than you........? Self reflection is my point. We see things as "we are" not as "it is". Just becasue she made more money does not mean you cannot be the provider. You provide the security, she provides the fun shit like 4 wheelers and when yall go out to eat, she can pay for that.......you get what i am saying? not trying to get into your personal stuff but you brought it up,
I digress
"rethink" might be a way to say it, but perhaps "realize" would be better.......The military type approach can work: break them down and build them up. Unfortunately there is a time in ones life where their reception to new ideas can be very limited. Being the example as stated before is a way for this realization to happen...........i will give an example. A little while ago, my son (who has left home to APP state) has roomed with some other people.......now I used to get pissed off that his lazy ass would use a dish, then just set it in the sink, no rinse, no put it in the dishwasher, nothing.......So, when I saw a dish he put in the sink, I would take it to his bedroom and set it in a spot, such that, he would step on it or knock it over, or whatever......follow so far?...........since he has moved away, and living with other guys.........he now does the same thing to them....they leave a dish, he puts it on their bed. He made it a point to tell me this in his realization, that i was not trying to be a dick, just trying to show him something.........luckily it worked finally.
It seems to me, that changes to people happen only at a point of SELF realization........when something clicks finally in their heads that say "WOW I am a dumbass"........ever done that?

When you have a woman throwing it up to you that the job of the man is to be the provider and she makes more than you, it's kind of hard to make a realistic case for being the head of the house. In my mind it don't make two hoots in Hades, but you didn't know my ex. To get back on point, there are three things to consider about your life: There is the morality of a situation There is a legality of a situation There is the reality of a situation Unfortunately, everybody has a different view about what is right or wrong in a given situation. Rarely does that moral standard coincide with the legality or reality of a situation. The converse is usually true. However, if we back up a couple of generations ago the lines were not as blurry. When the Make America Great Again mantra was being chanted, to me it implied that we were agreed and America at some point was great. If we asked people when the last time America was great they would probably settle in the time period of the 1960s. That was before liberalism, busing, wholesale immigration, abortion on demand, the Gun Control Act, socialists and communists controlling the Democratic National Convention, etc. Disputes were settled neighbor to neighbor in a face to face conversation. If you had a problem with some guy in school, the coach would take you to the gym and strap on some boxing gloves so that the dispute could be settled. People left the cars unlocked and when they were home, the doors at home were unlocked. A man's handshake was his bond and immorality was not the norm. My purpose here is not to sell you on any value system (though I am admittedly biased and will interject the reasons I believe that we should return to the values of our American predecessors.) The purpose is to help those who may mentor or parent today's youth AND, equally important, if you grew up without a father figure and / or some instruction on how to develop a sense of values, THIS is what you need to be thinking about. Our reality is that today we no longer follow Christian principles. The unofficial state religion in America is secular humanism. The atheists run amok telling you about a " separation of church and state" while embracing all the planks of the Humanist Manifesto. Oddly, in the case of Torasco v. Watkins 367 US 488 (1961) the United States Supreme Court opined that " humanism has the effect of a religion." I would ask how that's working out for you, but it would be a rhetorical question. We wouldn't have a mantra of Make America Great Again if the status quo were working. So, think about that and we will come back and discuss this some more.

Is it morality, or just the ability to hide debauchery I wonder? I am not a Trump supporter, or a religious person. Eventually we will get beyond the values, but I think I can answer this in a way you will understand even if you disagree: I am a minister, but as one of my mentors said, " I'm a preacher, but I ain't religious." Three things that really hurt religion in this country were organized religion, modern misinterpretations and religious censorship. America was founded on Christian principles, but not as a theocracy. Even if you don't believe in God, you can build a consistent view of right and wrong; immoral and moral; good and bad by treating the Bible as a secular book and following the rules. Our system of jurisprudence was based upon biblical principles. For example, the Bible may give you a statute, commandment, etc. and then apply it. The Bible says "thou shalt not kill." Then we read of instances of people like Phineas. At that time there was an AIDS like plague killing off God's people. As a show of his faith and intolerance for evil, Phineas took a javelin and killed an inter-racial couple. (See Numbers chapter 25) For his deed, God lifted the curse due to the actions of one man. So, in the Bible we have a statute AND we also have case law that demonstrates how to apply the law. This is the same format used in the English Common Law. It is synonymous with Anglo Saxon law. The antithesis of our system of jurisprudence is democracy. We take a popular vote and if that is the way the majority sees it, then that becomes the law. Now, because modern Christians have perverted their own religion; because they have given into wild misinterpretations; because Christians have become the most debauched people on earth, the religion itself suffers from a credibility issue. The Bible itself speaks on this aspect: " Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves." Matthew 23: 15 The absolute worst POS on God's green earth is the Christian that serves Satan and hides behind the Word of God. That is the bulk of the modern church world today. Those people usually fall in one of just a few categories. For simplicity, let's talk about the two most prevalent: You have those who say they believe in God, but that God's law was done away with. They are " saved by grace" and as long as they are paid up, prayed up, pay their tithes, and believe then one day they will be raptured out and escape into the high heavens. They see nothing special in their own lives and may even tell you that " Jews are God's chosen people." Really? You cannot criticize that class of people either. George Soros, Chuck Schumer, Gloria Allred, Bernie Sanders, Elana Kagan, Rupert Murdoch, Mark Zuckerberg, etc., etc. are good guys beyond any honest scrutiny? And, no, I'm not drawn to Nazism and I would knock someone's running lights out for the accusation (which is why it's never been done face to face.) Nobody is going to shut me down with a false accusation that is employed to avoid honest discourse. ...And then there are those " Christians" who do not believe in an elect. We're all the same. Just believe in God and if we vote we will do the right thing - majority rules. Other mainstream " Christians" fall in between those lines of ideology. The younger generations eschew religion because they see these mainstream " Christians" breaking bread with immoral perverts. These people drink, smoke, celebrate Satanic holidays, do drugs, lie, cheat, steal, adorn their bodies with tattoos and body piercings, dishonor their parents, and worse if they can get away with it... and then have the unmitigated gall to condemn non-Christians for their " sins." Honestly, it's never made a Hell of a lot of sense to me. If God's law was done away with as they contend (and I disagree), then there is no sin since sin is the transgression of the law (I John 3:4) You can't transgress against what doesn't exist. Those people are so double minded that they do everybody, including themselves, a great disservice. When we teach people how to become a man, they should be exposed to these hard core truths so they may evaluate exactly what they want to believe in. And, from my perspective, they cannot be taught to judge a Christian for being a sinner. EVERYBODY is. The difference ought to come down to how a person is trying to lead their life. I did bad things in my past. I acknowledge them and confess my sins. Then every effort is made not to repeat it. As such, I am not in a position to judge others. If they are doing the wrong thing, you separate yourself from them. Reason with them. When Christians do the wrong thing you can call them out on it. Take the preacher in Georgia who is a wife beater and stands on a stage advocating abortion. He condemns his opponent for his domestic abuse allegations, but avoids accountability for himself. I see the point of non religious people. There is just more to this than they have been led to believe.

Understood, thanks for explaining it in a way that i can understand. We are agreed in a few points, such as everyone is a sinner.
I think as the bible states: "that faith without works is dead", and I take that very seriously.

Understood, thanks for explaining it in a way that i can understand. We are agreed in a few points, such as everyone is a sinner. I think as the bible states: "that faith without works is dead", and I take that very seriously. Religion aside, we probably agree more than we would ever disagree. It would leave a lot of unanswered questions for this thread if there were not a few things that we need to say America needs. In order for any society to exist and succeed it must have unity. America tried this big melting pot idea, the ultimate social experiment. It failed. Throughout history when you mix cultures, religions, races, sexual orientations, differing political points of view and / or related ideologies, that civilization collapses. Part of teaching males how to become a man is not only for their personal development, but so that they can invest in the future for the perpetuation of our Republic. Men and women fought, bled, sacrificed and died in order to create our Republic for themselves and future generations. The least we can do is to leave America in as good a shape as we entered it. Our country was founded on biblical principles, but today even the standard bearers are sketchy and questionable. The standard bearer for the right is Donald J. Trump. Trump is ignorant of the Bible and is diametrically opposed to the concepts of unalienable Rights and Liberty. That so many Americans remain loyal to him after his lies and public embarrassments is way beyond my own comprehension. The moral character of our nation has changed to the point that we can no longer discern right from wrong. Having to listen to culture distorting Kenites and their proselytes (on the right and the left) thwarts any attempt by our youth to be able to reach sound and logical conclusions from a moral perspective. So, let's tackle this outright: A theocracy would be marked by: 1) A leader claiming to rule as a appointee of God 2) The requirement that all people accept a given religion 3) There would be no legal protections for those not belonging to the state religion 4) Criminal penalties for non - believers The founders and framers did not put a single defining feature of a theocracy in place. They built our Republic on Christian principles: 1) Our system of jurisprudence follows the Anglo system of jurisprudence / English Common Law which is rooted in Christianity: commonlaw.uslegal.com/origins-of-common-law/christianity/#:~:text=Christianity%20was%20and%20is%20a%20part%20of%20the,religion%20to%20be%20controlling%20in%20their%20decision%20making. 2) Our court decisions are not based upon religion, but upon principles of right and wrong; good and bad; moral and immoral as per biblical precepts 3) Only weeks after the ratification of the Declaration of Independence, the Virginia Constitution was ratified. Thomas Jefferson, who is the primary author of the Declaration of Independence AND the author of the misused " separation of church and state" phraseology contributed to the Virginia Constitution. I'd like to quote one (of several) things everybody should be aware of. This from that Constitution that Jefferson contributed to: " SEC. 16. That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practice Christian forbearance, love, and charity towards each other" constitution.org/1-Constitution/cons/early_state/virginia1776.htmlNINE of the thirteen original colonies required candidates to take an oath of office that included statements that they believed in God and / or the Christian religion: csac.history.wisc.edu/document-collections/religion-and-the-ratification/religious-test-clause/religious-tests-and-oaths-in-state-constitutions-1776-1784/Since these were not tests, no constitutional prohibition was applicable in the years that followed 4) Nobody is forced to join the church and no religious affiliation is required in order to vote 5) No constitutional guarantee is diminished for nonbelievers. A clear understanding of our history is necessary for a person that wants to conduct their life in an orderly and productive manner. There are at least two more posts to share before moving along, but hopefully as we approach this line by line and precept by precept, it will become apparent what everybody should consider whether they are religious or not.

There are at least two more posts to share before moving along, but hopefully as we approach this line by line and precept by precept, it will become apparent what everybody should consider whether they are religious or not. When I first started this thread I was disappointed that it didn't get as many views as hoped for. Now it has and it's impossible to stop midstream due to people not posting as much as usual. I'm sorry that curiousfiend didn't like the direction this thread took, but back to business: Everybody answers to someone else. Someone's views on right and wrong; good and bad; moral and immoral will prevail in any society. Without the guarantees of unalienable Rights, all you have are concepts of right and wrong being decided and overturned or reaffirmed every so often, depending upon who is in charge. We had a guaranteed Right to Life. The United States Supreme Court illegally ruled against that in Roe v. Wade. Then the United States Supreme Court reinterpreted their own rulings and affirmed a Right to Life. Now, the Democrats are wanting to load up the United States Supreme Court and overturn the current law. All of that happened in just over a half century. I could give similar examples with welfare, the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, etc., etc. This thread was to help those who are younger and / or those who may want to help a man find his way and become a man. So, the two points that need to be made here is that men should be able to think outside the box and deal with realities. We haven't and America is a bad place because of it. When the founders and framers of this country created our Republic, they were very careful to create and put laws into place that would best serve the culture. Since that time the American people have destroyed most of the vision that brought our country into existence. Males today are expected to " do the right thing" when the " right thing" is undeniably elusive. Again, let's use an example that crosses a lot of political lines: The immigration debacle crosses many lines and questions all we know about morality, legality and reality. The right claims that they only want people to be able to come into the United States " legally." What does that even mean? To talk reality, our forefathers created the United States for the protection, preservation and advancement of the white race. Only whites were allowed to become citizens; elected political officials had to take an oath affirming their belief in God (many states limited elective office to Protestants); only white male landowners were extended the privilege of voting. So that begs the question of HOW we got to the point where Democrats would register a half breed dog to vote? How come the Posterity of the founders and framers believe that it is okay to share the privilege of voting with people that are diametrically opposed to EVERYTHING our forefathers fought, bled and died to establish for us? Becoming a man should entail being able to evaluate your heritage, examine the facts and decide what your true values really are. Many false doctrines have been passed that have direct ties to secular humanism. Some are a part of our laws and some are part of the new culture (sic.) In less than two hundred years the Christian world has overseen the legalization of the satanic observance Saturnalia (aka Christmas which was outlawed until 1836), adopted false doctrine of a universal equality of man, venerated Halloween, bought into pure fantasy about slavery and built a false religion that maintains Christians are no longer bound by the laws of God. Hmmm... and all of that is related to the immigration issue, BTW. February is black history month, May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, Hispanic Heritage Month runs from mid September to mid October, November is Native American month etc., etc., etc. There is NO white history month. Have you ever asked yourself WHY? Those turning America over to the third world have told the masses that they don't care if people come here, provided they do so " legally." In other words, if the third world takes over legally (sic) then it's okay to give them America. When was " legally" the right way? How do you know what the right way is if the facts have been withheld from you? How does one become a man when they face a world full of miseducated, dishonest, ill informed, self serving political propaganda prostitutes and nobody telling them they should examine all the facts and use critical thinking skills to develop their own sense of right and wrong? We're just getting started.

All of this got really deep. There has to be more than the values thing. It would be a hard thing to do the right thing if we don't know what the right thing is. Most will give you that. Can you give us the answer even if takes more paragraphs than usual? Also if curiousfiend wants to comment he has my word that I will not comment on his posts. Carry on.

This thread didn't go the way I planned it, but short of writing a book we have some issues to discuss. No male can become a man unless and until they are ready to deal with uncomfortable facts. This subject may need two threads. If so, we can do that. Here is part of what I wanted to say relative to this. I will do a couple of longer posts, time permitting. See the next post.

I have been saving this post most of my life. It doesn’t appear to be possible. I had hoped for an audience. America cannot teach its youth how to be a man because most males in the United States are not the same caliber of men that their grandfathers and predecessors before that were.
Due to bad diets and lack of exercise, today’s man has lower testosterone than his grandfather and generations before that. That is the one thing that contributes to the femininity of many males. Add to that the fact that millions of males are brought up in a single family home by a mother and you begin to get the picture. Then the public school system (and the government in general) is in cahoots with drug companies and the preferred method of choice for addressing every ill and headache is drugs. We aren’t talking conspiracy theories. This is how the world really is and can be researched for the facts. If a child can overcome divorced parents, schools and doctors with their pills and potions, and then drug dealers, dysfunction in the home / dysfunctional parents, they are faced with a society that is in absolute darkness due to the simple fact that nobody believes in the crap they claim to believe in. Young men enter the world, the product of broken homes, physical abuse, emotional abuse, dysfunction in the home, drugs, alcohol abuse, and later in life no support system. Nobody is even trying to give those people help as children, teens or even adults.
Our system is broken, morally bankrupt and living on lies, fear, misinformation and propaganda. The churches have adopted virtually every tenet of faith as espoused by secular humanists. The people, in general, have adopted socialism even as many curse it with their every breath. It’s time for a reality check:
America was founded by white Christians on the belief that they were the Israelites of the Bible and America is the New Jerusalem. As such, they built this country on Christian principles, an example being the Ten Commandments. Our system of jurisprudence was predicated on the English Common Law / Anglo Saxon law. And, as a point of fact, only WEEKS after the ratification of the Constitution, Congress passed the first immigration law. It limited citizenship to “free white persons. “ So, in our early years only whites could vote and then it was limited to land owners.
It would be impossible to give you the truth about American history in a single post, but as fast as America started, it came under attack. The Illuminati began in 1776 and the goals and objectives of that organization began to influence the constitutional Republic built on Christian principles our forefathers envisioned. The framers started out being “Democratic Republicans,” but that would prove to an oxymoron at best and that idea imploded. And yet today the Democrats prattle on about a “democracy” and NEVER mention The Republic. Republicans play a little cat and mouse game, trying to convince us we are a Democratic Republic. B.S. To that end the Republicans (Lincoln as an example) began changing our form of government. He started the income tax and then oversaw the most treasonous act in American history. He signed the illegally ratified 14th amendment into law. The 14th Amendment promised to give blacks a “right to vote.” Instead, Congress used it to nullify the Bill of Rights and reduce unalienable Rights down to government granted rights (which are actually privileges and immunities.) Now, we had NO rights, but the government maintains that we have “equal rights” (which are really privileges that took the place of God given Rights that you obtain at birth.
You have half of that story. One more post and you will have the education of a lifetime.

The Republicans introduced the questionable Income Tax and the Democrats followed up with the Federal Reserve (which is no more “Federal” than Federal Express. We allowed Congress to introduce the Socialist Surveillance Number… I mean “Social Security Number” despite a number of Christian ministers warning that it was a prelude to the Mark of the Beast. Unfortunately, due to wild misinterpretations and a false religion, modern churchianity (as differentiated from Christianity) doubled down on the ignorant errors, failing to understand the Beast System. Democrats screwed the American people out of their destiny by pretending to defend cultural integrity by playing political football with slavery. Yet we fail to see the truth behind the veil of darkness. The Democrats played host to the original Ku Klux Klan with its message that racial purity is America’s security. That was their mantra. The Republicans was for the rich elite and the black race while the Democrats represented the working man and the white American. That situation lasted until the 1960s and the Civil Rights Era. Then Martin Luther King, Jr. convinced the black people to support Democrats and the parties switched platforms within a quarter of a century.
The Civil Rights Era brought us busing, affirmative action, racial quotas, preferential hiring schemes, the Kennedy Immigration law (aka Hart Celler Act) aimed at eliminating the white race, the Genocide Treaty, “hate” laws, etc., etc. The government legalized inter-racial marriage; made it a criminal offense to practice cultural integrity and the government took the churches Right to a Freedom of Religion away from them.
Among the civil rights laws that we accepted was that of quotas in the numbers of workers allowed in the U.S., but no caps on citizens. We left the door open for citizens, but shut it for temporary workers. Now, the right wants people to come here the “legal” way which is code for citizenship. Despite telling them what they’re doing, they keep doing the same thing while insuring that whites and Christians become and remain a minority in their own country. Drugs and dumbing down of our people has proven effective.
Interrelated and Interwoven in this narrative is slavery. The right condemns slavery. Blacks bitch about slavery as if it is the most evil thing in the world. Yet neither side acknowledges that slavery is thousands and thousands of years old. Blacks have participated in it along with whites. Black slaves in the U.S. had it far better than their blue collar, white skin contemporaries. Add insult to injury, people want slavery. They vote for tyrants that give them the income tax – a plank right out of the Communist Manifesto. They elected people that voted to hold them in economic bondage with a slave master called the Federal Reserve. They instituted Socialist Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and gave the federal government power over the people in matters of welfare and unemployment. The right went along with the National ID / REAL ID Act – E Verify system that gives the control over the individual 24 / 7 / 365 and they have NEVER HAD A CONVERSATION TO DEFEND THEIR POSITION. Nobody is engaged in a conversation to change the status quo.
The preachers aren’t much help either. The false doctrine of a universal brotherhood of man creates a situation that you have to be double minded to even comprehend. If we accept that premise the right has NO business fighting immigration. Employers own the jobs they create; landowners own their property and should be able to sell or rent to whomever they want… Unless you hold a socialist view of jobs or private property. See how people have come to accept slavery?
Unfortunately I couldn't wrap up values in two posts, but I'll be back to finish that thought before we change gears. The important thing we need to stress is that, regardless of what you choose to believe or disbelieve, a man will expose himself to varying points of view and make an informed decision.

Here is where I am on this subject. The following headline caught my attention. This seemed to be the only place where people might actually read it and might comment on it. www.foxnews.com/video/6316657938112The issue is whether or not a Satan Club should be operating in a school. The Satan supporters will claim the same religious liberty as the Christians in order to operate. This story relates to how a person hoping to become a man can choose between these satanic values versus Christian values. Can anyone explain this to me?

The Satan supporters will claim the same religious liberty as the Christians in order to operate. This story relates to how a person hoping to become a man can choose between these satanic values versus Christian values. Can anyone explain this to me? My take is this: Since we live in a state of denial, equal access to Christianity vs. Satanism seems to be our best existing option. With an equal voice in mind, this is where critical thinking skills come in. The Satanists are promising to be able to teach ethics and values... but WHOSE values? Christians come to the table with a presupposition. The Christian has values rooted in a omnipresent God whose laws never change. You have to ask yourself, where does a Satanist get his or her values from? Are those laws immutable OR are they dependent upon the "will of the people" (i.e. mob rule - a democracy.) When you compare what the humanist, socialist, Satanist and agnostic bring to the table, you should be able to decide how you would want to spend the rest of your life. If mankind decides the fate of the future on popularity polls as we're doing in the present, then one day if you're the good guy now, the other side will be out to hang you tomorrow. Believing in man made laws is subjective and can change on a whim. Personally, I prefer consistency. Good is good and bad is bad... today, tomorrow, forever. As long as Christians are not censored (as we are on most places on the Internet), a child can probably pick which is best based upon unbiased facts.
