This morning I was driving down the road, listening to am radio. A couple of younger people were on a radio talk show making fun of people in Congress that were asking questions regarding the different aps and ways that people communicate in the modern era. They talked about how Google is no longer the way that the youth get their information. TikTok takes first place in how the youth are accessing information and communicating. There were some other aps (?) they mentioned by name that I've never heard of. The thing of it is, these young people are on am radio (which is century old technology) and making fun of people for not knowing about technology that isn't even a decade old at this point.
The lady on that program then lit into a rant about Congress being against TikTok as it is a Chinese operation and they collect data on Americans. She was berating Americans and older congresscritters, even mocking them in regards to their questions. Then she said something that struck a nerve with me. She asked, "Why should I care if the Chinese collect personal data on me?" That is what I want to address with you.
The Chinese government uses the data they collect on you not only to spy on you, but they can use it to control you. The content and the advertisements that TikTok (or any other media utilizes) is geared toward your personal preferences, emotions, prejudices, presuppositions and views. It allows them to have control over the content to what you'll be exposed to. Without full access to differing points of view, you would never have the facts and, consequently, draw all your conclusions from the information they make available to you. It used to be that we cared about our Right to Privacy, but now we don't. But, let's carry this a bit further.
The people who control the narratives in this country have children believing they should choose their gender before they understand squat about sex. Then kids grow up thinking they are gay, homosexual, binary, transexual, etc., etc. long before they know anything about sex. Nashville just got a taste of what that kind of attitude produces as girl identifying as transexual committed a mass shooting, killing six people - three of which were 9 year old kids in a private Christian school. These are the same people who push the narrative that you can't be normal without drugs. From Adderall and Ritalin to Prozac and Lexapro, these people who dominate access to the Internet are programming the public 24 / 7 / 365. THAT is the downside of allowing people to control you.
The term useful idiot is defined as "a person who is easy to persuade to do, say, or believe things that help a particular group or another person politically"
Those in the media mocking older Americans for their skepticism because older people don't fully understand the changing technology are useful idiots as they think their understanding of technology gives them an advantage in understanding political, legal and historical issues. There used to a be tv show called The Agency which gave up operational secrets of the CIA. It is so censored that you won't find the series for sale on dvd or Bluray and NOBODY streams it. A narrator used to say (as the show began each episode) "Information is the ultimate weapon." It is a lesson that was lost on today's youth. It is a reason that you should spend more time on this board, weighing what others tell you versus what our response is to it... and you will begin to ask yourself WHY our responses were the topics of censorship.
