I wanted to do a few thoughts along the lines of fighting gun control.
A couple of times a week I'm checking out all the news on YouTube regarding gun control. Occasionally I will look through social media and see the many memes the right comes up with to annoy the left, but what I don't see is actual activism. Some of these guys make their living off of YouTube and their paychecks are tied to number of people that access their YouTube account and watch the videos. Every once in a while they will praise a court decision or give people false hope, but what they specialize in is getting your blood pressure up. The hardest working guy on YouTube is, most likely, GunsnGadgets. The man is like a one man reporter on everything related to gun legislation. HOWEVER...
When we got legislation that would defund BATFE, GunsnGadgets was most informative by their silence. I would post the fact that we had a bill to defund BATFE being considered in Congress. It had a bill number. We took it to most major gun lobbying groups and nothing but silence. Yet, in the comments section of those gun gurus on YouTube, people were saying how we should get rid of BATFE. What the HELL?
When I would complain about the situation, posters would post smart ass remarks and try to humiliate me with B.S. about "that will never happen" and other such defeatist swill. If you don't want that, why suggest it in the comments of YouTube videos? Those people talking smack about me and posting stuff they don't have the balls to say to my face should probably stick to working in the warehouse, pecking on keyboards, and being cashiers leaving the real work to those who have some experience. I want to talk strategy with you:
It doesn't matter how unpopular an idea is. It must be put on the table in order to be considered. For over 35 years the conservatives held off the unconstitutional Genocide Treaty before it got passed and signed into law by that traitor Ronald Reagan:

Unlike the quitters on the right, the left never quits. But, let's suppose that a bill to defund BATFE doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell of being passed. Yet every time the gun haters start talking gun control, you add the bill to defund the BATFE to anti-gun legislation and / or budget bills and one day, you end up winning. Think about it. The bizarre legislation to permanently take your constitutional guarantees away based upon conviction of a misdemeanor (aka the Lautenberg Amendment) could never pass as a standalone bill. So, those conniving little rats (Demonrats) attached it to a budget bill and we woke up to major gun control legislation being passed. Even if that had never happened for us, the fact that we tried would keep gun control legislation in gridlock. Nothing in the books says we can't play the same game the liberals do. We don't. I'm here to talk strategy. The guys wanting to get your blood to a boiling point make their living off your anxiety. I don't make a living off doing activist work - and yet I'm more effective than they are.
