We have this forum for news stories. There just does not seem to be people that want to share news stories. This is a few of the stories that should be important. After a few of the items in the news there will be a few words about ending the year 2023.
The first thing in the news that deserves attention is the numbers of people that are on SSI from the federal government. SSI is like social security for the poor and most of those never paid into the system. If at any time an SSI recipient has more than $2000 they are not entitled to the payments. Add to that many people were overpaid and now the government wants all their money back. www.cbsnews.com/news/social-security-overpayment-mistakes-can-become-your-responsibility-60-minutes-transcript/
The next issue we should be saying more about is the massive amount of money that the United States contributes toward no win wars. The U.S. gives the state of Israel alone $3.8 billion dollars a year. The U.S. is burning up military assets in Iran, Taiwan, South Korea and giving billions to Ukraine. The U.S. is bankrupting the poor and middle class but spending excessive amounts on financing wars.
Last but not least the SCOTUS will start listening to arguments on limiting the powers that some regulatory agencies have. Currently the BATFE has been told over and over that the brace ban is unconstitutional but the gun banners keep getting the issue reheard. There is another case involving the SEC. It's time the courts took away some of the powers of regulatory agencies.
We pause to thank all of you that read the posts be it friend or foe. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Some people have gone onto other sites and complained that this place is an echo chamber. Yet all are invited and it is doubtful that anyone has been banned from this board. The people making the claims go to other boards where what they believe is the only point of view tolerated. In calling this place an echo chamber they retreat to actual echo chambers where their views are never challenged. The value of boards is questionable. This one has been maintained to bring out topics that are banned elsewhere. The boards are a sham where they feign allowing people to discuss and debate but they never follow through. The other thing that needs to be remembered is that there are other resisters maintaining blogs and we have been talking with people at a grass roots level. If activity does not occur here in a couple of months we may just let what is here stand and focus on other projects. The board will not shut down. We just will not add as much content if all people are going to do is gawk at the site. Some of you work for the left. Some are bots. Others thought they could come here and run over the patriot point of view. It didn't happen. Nobody wins until all points of view are considered. Thank you God Bless and consider discussing issues of the day with us.
