As for Marriage so many people go to the Preachers or Justice of the Peace and get married with a snap of a finger. So many people do not put no thought of the future into getting married. I would live with this girl I'm dating now before marriage if it wasn't a sin. With my Divorce and previous marriage, my EX changed a lot during marriage, and I saw the side I should have noticed a lot earlier. I feel like I did everything Biblically right before marriage except a few things. My Wife wanted to keep hidden from the Pastor who married us the facts of how controlling her mother was and how it already destroyed our relationship. This RED Flag should have drove me away but like a idiot it did not. Then the Bipolar symptoms of my EX that was RED Flag 2. Again, it wasn't until during marriage I took it seriously and after 5 years I decided to leave. I didn't want to have kids and a home with a woman God didn't intend me to be with. I know God hates Divorce so how do I satisfy myself in knowing God is upset with this? Was the marriage ever recognized with us being from two different colors and cultures?

I know God hates Divorce so how do I satisfy myself in knowing God is upset with this? Was the marriage ever recognized with us being from two different colors and cultures? I don't think it is healthy to over-analyze one's life. You've decided to get a divorce based upon the biblical grounds for doing so. While it's true that God doesn't approve of divorce, neither will divorce wreck your life going forward. You don't have any children to complicate matters. Sometimes we like to think that there is a scorecard and God will judge us based upon the good and the evil that we've done. Others feel that if you sin you go to Hell. Problem there is that the Bible teaches that all have sinned. ALL people sin. ALL of us come short of the glory of God. Some people think that if you just believe in God you will go to Heaven. They also dismiss the concept that God chose a standard bearer to set an example for the world (a chosen people.) No matter which position you take we have a kind and merciful God that forgives people. ON THE OTHER HAND, if you wallow in sin and enjoy sin for the sake of sin you have to know the wages of sin is death. Consider one thing for a moment. If you stay in a bad marriage and you want out what really happens? You want another woman. Then you have sinned since the sin begins in the heart. So, you're in a bad marriage, hating every day of it and sinning on a daily basis versus letting go at the right time and moving on. Your life doesn't end at divorce. Jacob, who was later named Israel, had four wives. And yet his pure bloodline constitutes God's chosen / elect. Rather than over-analyze your situation, here is what I can tell you: If you stayed in a bad marriage and sin every day there is a 100 percent chance of dying in your sins. If you put an end to the problem, that is but one sin to atone for. If a time comes in the hereafter where you are held to account for your time on earth, let it be said that you removed yourself from those things causing you to sin and then be able to show what you've done moving forward and living a righteous life.

Thank you so much for clarifying my situation and I agree with you that over analyzing something can be bad for a person. I can be terrible about going over a situation to many times in my head until it drives me crazy. My Ex-Wife loves to use God as her way of trying to manipulate me into doing what she wants. She is great at getting in someone's mind and manipulating a situation to her benefit. She will literally almost have you thinking you did something terrible when you didn't. I like most men think more now of not getting remarried. I personally do not find it biblical for a government to make you have a license through them to get married. So many troubles come out of this license.

I like most men think more now of not getting remarried. I personally do not find it biblical for a government to make you have a license through them to get married. So many troubles come out of this license. While it is a PITA without a license you may find it difficult for your spouse to get you insured on her policy or you to get her on your policy. Then you have to consider things like joint property ownership, bank accounts, and who gets what property when one of you passes away. Forgive me if I seem to be trespassing on this thread topic. It was just one of those posts a person gets into and there is a lack of responses. Thought you might use a little input from the outside. What you describe in your post is called gaslighting. Hopefully you will not feel like the Lone Ranger. There are others on this very board that asked for help dealing with those that gaslight their fellow posters on boards like this. It happens in family situations. Consult the below link and let us know if it helps on that aspect of what you are dealing with. lonerwolf.com/gaslighting/You seem to be on the right path here. You might need a little more help and the more effort you put into the problem the faster you can find relief. Solving the problem begins with acknowledging you have a problem.

Thank you and yes, my Ex-Wife is a perfect example of someone who Gaslighted me. However, she would claim I was narcissistic and gaslighting her, but I really wasn't. She was trying to manipulate me from spotting her actions. I appreciate the link to the article and will definitely look it over. I understand what you're saying about the Marriage License, A marriage can be one of the best Gifts from God if you're with the right person. It can also be a living nightmare like it was for me. I hold myself responsible for everything in a sense because I did say "I do" to her. I have learned my lesson and appreciate the lesson I learned but never desire to enter into even a friendship related to that ever again.
