Before you get mad and think this is a Trump bashing thread I voted for Trump twice. It will not happen again. This forum is a strategy forum and I want to examine Trump beyond the headlines and see if you don't come to the same conclusions that I did. * Donald Trump was besties with Bill and Hillary Clinton * Donald Trump was close friends with Rupert Murdoch, one of the suits at the Council on Foreign Relations. Other notable members of that organization were the Clintons, Stacey Abrams, George Soros, Roger Ailes, and Michael Bloomberg. www.nytimes.com/2017/12/23/business/media/murdoch-trump-relationship.htmlen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Members_of_the_Council_on_Foreign_Relations* Trump supported gun control. ""I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun," (Donald Trump in his book The America we Deserve (2000.) In the past Trump supported a high capacity magazine ban, background checks, raising the age limit to purchase a firearm, and he banned bump stocks. When he decided to run for president he renounced his positions. Once in office he began reverting to his same old self. politicalwire.com/2019/08/07/trump-warned-by-nra-over-background-checks/ He goaded the liberals into gun control by shaming them into calling out the NRA. * Early on Trump was against the electoral college (2012) www.newsweek.com/trump-tweet-electoral-college-disaster-1545716* Trump talked big about the wall idea, forgetting to tell people Bill Clinton was his mentor on the subject. *Trump endorsed Stacey Abrams in Georgia over Brian Kemp. When we look at this from a strategic standpoint Trump had to make enemies with all of his prior friends. He had to reverse himself on every major issue he had ever taken a stand on. He continually reverted back to gun control and tried to twist the arm of the NRA to go along with him. He lost the House in the mid terms and the Senate along with his own failed campaign in the presidential election. He did not get any of him immigration agenda past Congress despite have a Republican majority in the House and Senate. All of his efforts were through executive action. He knew that all of that would be reversed under the next democratic administration. He has bounced back and forth between draining a swamp and worrying about what is bad for democracy. From a strategic point everything Trump has done has benefitted the left. Any changes he made were temporary and the fallout of his actions have run counter to his public positions. This deserves explaining.

For whatever reason I can't quote the professor, but I saw this stuff a long time back. There is so much to say here. For example, when Trump began talking about a stolen election I was livid with the officials in Georgia. As the professor knows, we had conversations in the organization about video shot at the polling site near where I live. The Registrar of Elections is three red lights from my house. We got to actually SEE what was going on AND we know things that most others don't know. It seems not to be mentioned, but when Stacey Abrams and now Senator Raphael Warnock challenged the effort to remove some 4,000 questionable names from the voter rolls the judge ruled in favor of Abrams and Warnock, saving those 4,000 questionable names. The judge was Abrams sister: www.foxnews.com/politics/georgia-judge-stacey-abrams-sister-wont-recuse-election-suit-rules-against-voter-purge-before-runoffsTrump may have won Georgia if those questionable voters had been removed and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger launched investigations against Abrams and Warnock for " aggressively" register "ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters" before the state’s Jan. 5 Senate runoff elections" as per the above link. These facts are something that Trump never talks about. That crap they talked about with fixed Dominion voting machines was plain silly. After you vote in Georgia, you are provided a hard copy on 8 1/2" x 11" paper that lists how you voted on the machine. You then run that through another machine that looks like a copier and that records your vote. When recounts are done, the hard copies must match what is done in the machine. It is highly unlikely that the Dominion voting machines were to blame, yet that was the popular allegation at the time. Furthermore, when Gov. Brian Kemp debated David Perdue over the voter fraud issue, Kemp gave Perdue the beatdown. Nobody from Trump's side registered complaints alleging the correct facts at the proper times and then they expected Raffensperger and Kenp to unilaterally intervene and save the day for them. That strategy was impossible without Kemp and / or Raffensperger violating the law and ending up without a job. Now, despite the lawsuits and efforts to address situations that result in voter fraud, Trump turned on Gov. Brian Kemp and endorsed Stacey Abrams over Kemp. His supporters say it was just payback for some unproven allegation that Kemp and Raffensperger not helping overturn a fraudulent allegation - and one that could not have happened in the way Trump described. Trump supporters are welcome to dispute any of this, but I doubt that you will find a single one that actually read the court documents. Trump's actions in Georgia absolutely guaranteed that Democrats would win in both U.S. Senate races. Warnock only filled a temporary spot and Trump then endorsed Herschel Walker for Senate. Walker's claim to fame is that he played football and won a Heisman. Walker said he graduated at the top of his class in college. Walker never graduated from college. Walker claimed he started a non-profit corporation to help veterans with mental health issues. Walker stands accused of defrauding veterans: whoisherschelwalker.com/#:~:text=Herschel%20Walker%20made%20%24331%2C000%20last%20year%20alone%20from,the%20organization%20for%2014%20years.%20%28Source%3A%20AP%2C%205%2F21%2F22%29 www.gpb.org/news/2022/05/23/herschel-walkers-ties-veterans-program-face-scrutinyWalker has mental health issues himself: marketrealist.com/p/herschel-walker-mental-health/Walker is a straight out, pathological liar: www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/herschel-walker-falsely-claimed-law-enforcement-rcna33273And there is much more I could say, but the reason for saying all that is to question WHY on earth Trump endorsed Walker? Walker may lose to Warnock. OTOH, there were other more qualified candidates including, but not limited to Gary Black who hasd the support of U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, former Gov. Nathan Deal, a third of the state’s GOP lawmakers and almost half of the state’s sheriffs, including some Democrats. Another candidate was a former U.S. Navy SEAL and served in an intelligence role in the Trump administration. I could go on, but I'm wondering why Trump would endorse people that he apparently didn't vet and / or even meet. If he was provided some background information on these people, the endorsement was calculated so as to give Warnock every possible advantage. If any one single person caused Trump to lose in Georgia, it was Stacey Abrams. And Trump endorsed her over Brian Kemp. Then Trump helps Abrams' friend, Raphael Warnock, by pitting him against an inferior adversary. Some things are not adding up the way they should be - if you're a Republican.

I left out an important part of the political accounting ledger. The January 6 rally turned fiasco is another blunder for Trump. If it was not a blunder it is a well thought out disinformation campaign. Trump rallies his troops. He says he is behind them. When the action starts Trump is in the rear with the gear - hiding in his office and not intervening. He had to be either naïve or conniving to allow that chaotic situation to play out. The key to understanding what January 6 is about is to determine who benefited.
Since the January 6 rally there has been a growing partisan divide on whether or not to abolish the electoral college. The January 6 rally gave the Democrats an increased motivation in their quest to get rod of the electoral college. The last three times presidents lost the popular vote but won the electoral votes they were Republicans. Those were Benjamin Harrison, George Bush, and Donald Trump. America is about evenly divided today but with immigration bringing in nearly a million new people that get naturalized the Republicans cannot win the popular vote. Trump didn't win the popular vote. Each year gets worse as more and more immigrants are naturalized with the majority becoming Democrats. The Republicans have mostly middle age people and older voters in a society that is not producing enough offspring to maintain their numbers. Most of America's growth is coming from immigrants. Take away the electoral college and it's game over the way I see it. The January 6 rally only benefited the Democrats. Was it by accident or design?

I would like to say something before I get into this rant. I was the first to make the charge that when the Jan 6 rally was going on Trump was " in the rear with the gear." The lynching of Trump aka the " Jan 6 Hearings" brought out the fact that Trump was raising Hell with them and wanting to be at the rally, but the Secret Service ignored him and whisked him out of harm's way. On that point I was factually wrong. I apologize. That will not make me a Trump fan and we should continue to question his strategy. The prevailing view among Trump supporters is if I question his strategy, then I belong to an organization that would put Biden back in office for a second term. Is THAT what Trump is teaching? If you don't pledge fealty to Trump, you are a Democrat? Let me warn them: If they value their smile, don't ever make that accusation to my face. That is a promise, not a threat. If that is Trump's strategy, he will lose if he runs in 2024. I predicted that the race between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock would be tight and Warnock may even win and I made that prediction on the day Trump endorsed Walker. The polling had Walker trouncing Warnock that first week. Trump supporters still won't tell us why Trump didn't endorse a more qualified candidate. Why not the Navy SEAL that worked in intelligence under Trump? Why not Gary Black who was a proven conservative with a respectable following? There were much better candidates. Our reality is that Donald Trump turned Georgia blue. His endorsements of mediocre candidates and his attacks on proven conservatives led to divisiveness at the polls. His false allegations have led to a lot of hurt feelings in Georgia. I'm NOT saying there weren't voting irregularities that cost Trump the election; I'm saying that Trump never alleged the right facts in order to get relief. Instead, Trump blamed the Dominion voting machines and made his case on that. The real issue was mail in ballots. There was nothing Gov. Brian Kemp nor Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger could do to help Trump overturn the election without putting their own jobs at risk and promoting a position that was untenable. Those men did all they could to help Trump: headlineusa.com/raffensperger-secret-ballot-review/I realize that this isn't a Trump bashing thread, but I think we're entitled to question the strategy that Trump is employing. It is turning Georgia blue.

The door for Trump supporters to defend his actions is always open and they won't be trolled or humiliated for participating in this thread. What is at issue here is strategy.
Recently we had a poster imply that since Trump was being held accountable anyone not loyal to Trump must be working toward electing Joe Biden. What kind of strategy was that? Is that how they intend to win friends and influence people? These are the questions that need to be responded to. One day those who question Trump's strategies and his supporters may have to work together. A real patriot cannot give up their freedom out of fear. That means Trump may have to change if he wants the support it takes to win the presidency a second time. Then his supporters have to ask what is next?
Donald Trump is endorsing marginally acceptable candidates that have no real commonality other than the R beside their name. His views on gun control are not swaying his supporters so it is baffling to explain the lure of Donald Trump. It is his strategies that are of concern. Little by little the establishment Republicans are gaining ground and hacks like Liz Cheney begin to sound as if they have credibility. Trump and his supporters seem to play right into the liberal narrative. The worst part is for the Republicans that support Trump to believe that have a long term strategy for success. Even if they can pull if off in 2024 and put Trump into office they have no post Trump plan. They don't even have a strategy for what kinds of laws Trump will seek to introduce or rescind. We genuinely need Trump supporters to check in here and explain the strategy and the vision for the future.

With Trump back in the news, I wanted to give a summation of the reasons I will NOT support Donald J. Trump for president. You should look at Trump's stances over the long haul to figure out what he REALLY believes in. Civilian Disarmament " I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record." Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.102 Jul 2, 2000 "After the Parkland shooting, the president pushed for stricter background checks. "Very strong improvement and strengthening of background checks will be fully backed by White House," he tweeted in March 2018. "Legislation moving forward. Bump Stocks will soon be out. Highly trained expert teachers will be allowed to conceal carry, subject to State Law."www.cbsnews.com/news/what-president-trump-has-said-about-gun-control-in-the-past/Repealing the Fourth Amendment"President Trump on Wednesday voiced support for confiscating guns from certain individuals deemed to be dangerous, even if it violates due process rights.
“I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence."thehill.com/homenews/administration/376097-trump-take-the-guns-first-go-through-due-process-second/Abortion"I'm very pro-choice," then-real estate businessman Donald Trump said in a 1999 interview on "Meet the Press," attributing his views to "a little bit of a New York background"www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2022-06-24/how-biden-and-trump-switched-sides-on-abortion" Donald Trump considers a federal abortion ban a losing proposal for Republicans as the party prepares to enter the first presidential election since the supreme court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade – and is unlikely to support such a policy, according to people close to him." www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/19/donald-trump-federal-abortion-ban-stanceTrump sees himself as being a king:www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/news/trump-twists-the-knife-after-msnbc-beats-fox-news-calls-himself-king-and-demands-they-bring-back-trump-allies-and-maga/ar-AA1cGp9JThere are other areas where what Trump has people believing and what he is practicing are not in line with one another. For example, Trump was once against the electoral college. When he lost the fight for the presidency, he was suddenly FOR saving the electoral college... except that his actions gave new fuel for Democrats to wage war against the electoral college. I will have to do a post explaining that. Then there was the matter of his endorsement of Stacey Abrams for governor in Georgia - and Stacey was behind his loss in Georgia!!! That will be another post. Not to let it pass, Trump's immigration policies are NOT what he claims. He did not get his immigration agenda past Congress even when he had Republican majorities in the House and Senate. All of his Executive Orders regarding immigration were rescinded the day Biden got sworn in. It was Biden's first order of business: freebeacon.com/biden-administration/biden-pulls-65-pending-trump-executive-orders/This is just a sampling and it is going to take some explaining regarding some of the other stuff. Trump is a Trojan Horse and it is about time we had a discussion about this guy.

We have discussed the kinds of strategy that Trump employs to get what he wants. Trump said that the electoral college was a disaster. www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/03/20/donald-trump-backs-electoral-college-he-once-opposed-it/3220879002/When Trump lost the presidential election he became pro electoral college. Or did he? Was his objective to get the democrats to fight harder to eliminate the electoral college while he was raising a stink about being cheated out of a second term? It is kind of strange that Trump claims to be the art of the deal king and this negotiation ended up in a net win for the democrats. Did he plan it that way? Given that Trump endorsed the woman that cost him a win in what used to be republican country it is obvious. Trump is an agent provocateur.

In my opinion it doesn't matter what a political candidate says they believe in, it is what they do when elected as president. Donald J. Trump ran as a pro-gun candidate and when in office he urged Congress to pass anti-gun legislation. He outlawed bump stocks by executive fiat - which showed future presidents that they could use Executive Orders to rule without fear of pushback by the right. That is the bottom line. It has been shown that Trump is not the man the MAGA crowd claims. And today yet another example popped up that illustrates what is wrong with DJT: " We have to get back to that,” says Liberty University Senior Vice President of Communications & Public Engagement Ryan Helfenbein, talking about ways to “control the future” through education. The interview with Helfenbein was captured on video from the Faith & Freedom Coalition Conference this weekend where, among other things, Donald Trump told the Christian crowd that Jimmy Carter is innocence.
...What does Helfenbein assert that conservatives need to “get back” to?
After claiming that the Left is currently “evangelizing” and indoctrinating the next generation through education, Helfenbein explains that conservatives need to take control of the education narrative and — shockingly — he names the role models conservatives should follow to take over education curricula: Mao, Stalin, and Hitler." www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/education-vp-shocks-christians-calling-hitler-a-role-model/ar-AA1d3D7W?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=6fb8310a2d5b4d5db58682b0e4f4fa52&ei=35If Donald Trump knew a damn thing about our Constitution he would know full well that the federal government has NO constitutional authority in education. Conservatives are now following that pro-Democrat right into the pits of Hell. The whole " separation of church and state quote that Thomas Jefferson wrote (and has been taken out of context) was a promise to the Danbury Baptists that the federal government would never interfere in the education of children.
