"America was founded on Christian principles"
I have heard this from many people, but one thing I just dont get...........what proof is there that the US was founded on Christian principles, and if so, then how has the US become so anti-christian? It would seem to me, that such a country founded on the truths of Jesus Christ, would not be so easily sway to be so anti-christ. Can anyone explain this?

For example, the first governing document of the New World was the Mayflower Compact. It is the sermon that mentions a " shining city on a hill" that has been quoted by many people including Presidents like John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. Here is a not so well known passage: " Thirdly, when God gives a special commission He looks to have it strictly observed in every article. When He gave Saul a commission to destroy Amalek,47 He indented48 with him upon certain articles and because he failed in one of the least — and that upon a fair pretense49 — it lost him the kingdom which should have been his reward if he had observed his commission. Thus stands the cause between God and us: we are entered into covenant with Him for this work. We have taken out a commission. I wonder why "of Nature and Nature's God" why not just say God, I mean in Christianity, there is only 1 God, so why denote the difference? Does man have a different God then nature? Also why "their creator" and not "the" creator? Who wrote this? Through what inspiration?

That did not mean they wanted to abandon their belief in God Some denominations believed that we should not use a specific name of God, so you will note that Creator is capitalized so as to acknowledge God Jefferson considered himself a Christian; however, his views were not in the mainstream and he wanted to create a document that everybody would be willing to support If you had read the Virginia Constitution of 1776 to which Jefferson was consulted and supported, the previous quote (with a link in the earlier post) answers this. We are not a theocracy, Washington having turned down the opportunity to assume the title of king. We are, however, founded on Christian principles. The earliest was probably the Virginia Charter of 1606. I found this on page 58: " III. It promised to give blacks a " right" to vote, but it has been used to nullify the Bill of RightsIn 1913 the income tax was passed. It was a taken directly out of the Communist Manifesto and is one of the major amendments that was illegally ratified1947 The United States Supreme Court concocted the doctrine of a separation of church and state which meant 180 degrees opposite of what the author meant when he coined the phrase. The high Court justified their assault on the Constitution by citing the illegally ratified 14th Amendment. Some posters are not posting because they say the posts are focused on Jews and race. To be frank there are not many posts about Jews. There is a lot about race and in the list above it seems to me that race is a subject that keeps getting repeated. What makes that subject center stage in this discussion? ALL of this plays its way into American culture, a Christian nation and a country that operates on Anglo Saxon / English Common Law. Non-white forces have lined up to declare war against the status quo and bring down white Christian culture. Equality didn't change the bottom line. From the black peoples perspective, U.S.Representative Thomas Abernethy read into the Congressional Record in 1957 during a debate on the Civil Rights Act from a book entitled " A Racial Program for the Twentieth Century" the following quote: " We must realize that our party's most powerful weapon is racial tensions. By propounding into the consciousness of the dark races that for centuries they have been oppressed by whites, we can mold them to the program of the Communist Party. In America we will aim for subtle victory. While inflaming the Negro minority against the whites, we will endeavor to instill in the whites a guilt complex for their exploitation of the Negroes. We will aid the Negroes to rise in prominence in every walk of life, in the professions and in the world of sports and entertainment. With this prestige, the Negro will be able to intermarry with the whites and begin a process which will deliver America to our cause." In today's society that has been realized and whites are now a minority in the U.S. and every facet of its culture is under assault. Our culture also explains the resistance to immigration. But, without a return to those principles, America WILL continue to run over by foreign ideologies until the white race has been obliterated from the face of the earth. The assault on our foundational principles is an assault against the Christian religion AND against the white race. Christians have compromised their religion until CHRISTIANS don't believe in the laws of God; they have introduced pagan and Satanic influences into their own religion and the masses don't respect Christians because most of them are blatantly hypocritical and have NO moral compass. Americans views about race, religion and the phony doctrine about the equality of man are threats that we either deal with OR accept as being the problem IF our objective is to submit to the advances of the NEW WORLD ORDER.

Before I started lurking on the now defunct Liberty Lobby board and this one it never occurred to me that so many issues could be followed to the same sources. If you think about prayer being taken out of the public schools and students not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance it becomes clear why America is not great any more. Then it takes more. Cultural integrity and our history must be saved. We cannot compromise with liberals for the sake of getting along with them. Never have we witnessed a time when we must choose a side or lose our country alike we face right now. Please keep this thread alive.

Full disclosure: The OP and I met on another board where some off topic discussion is taking place that is interrelated to this discussion. At this juncture, it's impossible to tell if he's getting any benefit off the information, but I wanted to say a few things relative to this. On virtually every board that I participate on and this or immigration comes up, I get banned. People don't want the truth. Maybe this poster is different. We won't know for a couple more posts. So, I'd like to switch gears and address a couple of issues before they make their way onto the board. The atheists claim that the founders and framers were atheists and deists at best. Supposedly they wanted a complete divorce from religion. As evidence of that they claim that a founder said: “ As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.” Actually, the quote comes from the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli. This is quite controversial and I suppose most Christians should throw in the white towel and concede defeat. Right? WRONG. Here is the rest of the story on that controversy: " Article 11 has been and is a point of contention in popular culture disputes on the doctrine of separation of church and state as it applies to the founding principles of the United States. Some religious spokesmen claim that—despite unanimous ratification by the U.S. Senate of the text in English which contained Article 11—the page containing Article 11 is missing from the Arabic version of the treaty.[13] The contemporaneous purpose of Article 11 was to make clear that the United States was a secular state[15] and to reassure the Muslims that the agreement was not with an extension of earlier Christian nations that took part in the Crusades... Having followed the atheists arguing for a belief that this country was founded by people that OPPOSED Christianity, I've had to dismantle their arguments to the point that, even if they fail to come here and make their case, we can still take their arguments apart. I want you to know my purpose in this approach. Whether we like it or not, our system of government and our values (what we think in terms of right and wrong) determine who we are as a people. Somebody's concept of right and wrong will win out. The atheists, humanists and other non-Christians have had the balance of power for over a half century. America has been run by humanists and non-Christians for that long. So, I went to a website and found a number of so - called " proofs" to show we are not a Christian nation as per those humanists, atheists, etc. Here is a typical laundry list of arguments and I'll respond to some of them: - John Adams was supposedly against the concept of a Christian America due to the Treaty of Tripoli. We debunked that lie in an earlier thread and explained it - Some people argue that since Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Paine did not believe in the Trinity, they were not Christians and, therefore, America was founded by atheists. REALITY CHECK - Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, at least 50 were Trinitarians. Sometimes the people don't really want the truth and I've been banned for telling it. Now, we are going to have the hard core facts and if you read this it will be impossible to ignore them. The antithesis of saying that America is a Christian nation is to claim that the founders wanted a " separation of church and state." To that end they falsely claim that God is not mentioned in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. We proved that to be a lie. Now, let us expose what the so - called " separation of church and state" is really all about: 1) The phrase separation of church and state does not appear in the Declaration of Independence nor in the Constitution. The phrase was first coined in a private letter to the Danbury Baptists in 1802. As such it carries NO legal authority on its own 2) It should be noted the context in which Jefferson's letter was written. Jefferson's letter was written to the Danbury Baptists and the church was tasked with education at that time. Jefferson's use of the terminology means exactly 180 degrees opposite of how it is applied today. Yet somehow he failed to mention this " separation of church and state" in everything EXCEPT a private letter. Then, as President of the United States, Jefferson does not attack Christianity in the public schools, but assures the Danbury Baptists that the state would never interfere with the job of the church - specifically education... AND the coup de grace here: schools were funded by taxpayer dollars going back to the 1600s! How can the atheists explain that?
