"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6: 12
I want to say something about that Scripture, but have to set the stage for you. It begins with a comment to me by Squidtrinity7 on another board regarding God's elect aka God's chosen people. Squid posts on a board that thinks they can win the war by posting memes and complaining. It appears to me that the right has somewhat of a religion - it is a incremental form of universalism that teaches a false doctrine. It is something that must be addressed.
Most people fail to understand what the Bible is about. While nobody has a monopoly on the truth, there are things that the Bible is simply NOT about. The Bible is NOT a universal book where you can get paid up (pay your tithes), prayed up, go to church and say things to people who have itching ears and then get raptured out and go off into the high Heavens. Sorry folks, that isn't biblical. In the Bible, all religions are not equal and evil doesn't have a place with the righteousness. Squid insinuated (whether knowingly or unknowingly) that I was promoting something not in the Bible in order to justify some kind of racial conflict. Before that discussion gets out of hand, I can defend myself here and those who are honest will have the facts.
The prevailing attitudes Christians have toward the Bible is that Jews were once God's chosen people, but somewhere along the line God gave up on them and made everybody the same and we are supposed to live under grace, abandon the law and claim we no longer live under the law. There are variations of the narrative, but as best that I can determine that is their story. The above verse that I opened with is used to support the agenda of ONE WORLDERS that all of mankind join together and ? Really? I don't know. If we don't live under the law then there is no such thing as sin as "sin is the transgression of the law" (I John 3: 4). We've covered whether or not Christians live under the law, so I won't repeat that. You can join that discussion and comment on that aspect at the following link:

The entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation is a book that is to, for and about a people called Israel. Even in the New Testament the Bible has a lot of "letters" addressed to God's elect. Let me give you some examples:
"But he (Jesus) answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel" Matthew 15:24
"4 who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel Romans 9: 4 - 6 (Emphasis mine as it will become important later)
"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting." James 1 : 1
I want you to take that in because in my next posting we are going to explain this stuff to squid so that s/he understands what the Bible narrative is really about.
